  • Good video, I'm gonna use your idea. Except in an arbor press. My hydraulic press will not work because the other end of my control arm gets in the way. Thanks for the info

  • @VCschwabby

Yes I have a press now also. Didn't have one at the time..

  • Probably would be very hard on the vice. I have since picked up a 12 ton press from Harbor Freight to save wear and tear on my vice. BTY the vice was an estate auction purchase for $20.

  • You have to make do with what you have on hand sometimes.

  • About to put some in my 86 town car. Thanks dosent look to hard at all!

  • I'd rather use a press but have not got one yet so the vice is the next best thing. Be sure you have a large vice though if you don't have a press.

  • @theciskokidd usually they just wont extend far enough to fit all the parts.

  • dude, that sleeve to keep the fingers straight is an awesome idea. thanks! Imma copy it.

  • So chanced are this isnt possible with a little bit smaller vise? Will I just end up bending the tightening arm on the vise?

  • I would like to make a press out of a bottle jack.

  • you sure like to do things the hard way dont you!
