Every Thursday at the government health clinic in Katito, a small village in western Kenya, the Nyanza Reproductive Health Society, an internationally funded NGO, has been offering free circumcision as an HIV prevention measure. Research has shown circumcised men are up to 60 percent less likely to contract HIV than uncircumcised men. One man, Philip Augustin, let a journalist follow him through the process.

  • What?! Apparently, these NGOs are not aware of the study in Rakai, Uganda that showed an increase in male-to-female HIV transmission for circumcised males? I wonder if these NGOs inform the men about the loss of erogenous function and 20,000 specialized nerve endings?

  • Female Circumcision greatly reduces risk of HIV infection

"Researchers bent on proving that female circumcision heightens HIV risk in women could not explain away numbers that argued the opposite."

  • You know what reduces the spread of HIV? Condoms and Education!

  • @fstms3 I agree totally i also got circumsiced and i have never regretted it,the only thing i did regret was that i haven,t done it earlier in my life

  • This is Retarted, even if u r circumsized, the chance of getting HIV if u fck a HIV positive person is still extremely high; almost 100% cuz during intercourse EVERY Man gets bruise if u kno what im talking about, so even if u remove the foreskin which allows HIV virus to enter body, it can still enter thru sexual bruises on the penis....

  • USA and Africa = High circumcision prevalence, High HIV prevalence.

Europe and Latin America = Low (almost unexistant) circumcision prevalence, Low HIV prevalence.

Almost 75% of worldwide men are not circumcised.

With the removal of the foreskin you loose 20.000 nerve endings, natural lubrication, protection as well as sexual pleasure.

If you use a condomn, you will prevent HIV and other STD's.

Circumcision can cause complications and also leaves scars.

    Still think is useful?

  • i am normal boy, being a muslim my penis was cut as per ISLAMIC traditions, now it is smaller than that of justin beiber. friends help me...

  • @yonisfarah The AMA, AAP, CPS & BMA all state that infant circumcision is NOT recomended. They go on to state that while there are some negligable benefits, these benefits are eqaul to or less than the actual rate of adverse side effects from circumcision. More recent objective studies indicate that the adverse side effect rate is 2%-10%. The medical community has never done an objective nationwide study of the adverse side effects from infant circumcision which range from infecion to death

  • i think its more of a hygiene factor as water etc is limited in these parts of the world meaning its difficult to maintain cleanliness of the actual organ, so in that sense, circumcision helps maintain hygiene not prevent HIV.....the title of the video needs to be reconsidered

  • have these bat shit wankers heard of condoms!Latex stops HIV!!!

  • Circmcision prevent HIV? I believe that if they say it is alright for circumcised males to have unprotected sex. If they still recommend condom use, then what is the point of circumcision?

  • WTF, don't do it!!
