This is important stuff. The internet as we know it is threatened. It's time for us to do something to keep the internet uncensored.

Obama supports net neutrality and that's the best thing about him imo...
You can find the video on youtube. But they can't do it. And if they do hopefully people won't be pussies and show them whats up.

Good video Dude! Thanks! The Internet is the most powerful tool for the expedient and efficient exchange of knowledge and infomation. It serves to form the networking of freedom. The increases in costs are simply a way of snuffing out the Net. Does anyone here think that Hitler would have allowed such a system of communication to exist? Welcome to the NWO folks. This is not B.S. at all. I hope people will wake up and do it quickly. Ask the owner of YouTube, Eric Schmidt what he thinks about it.

SmerrillS is correct and JUNAID187 is wrong! The internet was created in the United States as a means for Scientific and Government Facilities as well as Universities to share data and was originally just FTP Usenet and Email! DARPA Created the Internet around 1964 or so and called it ARPANET. Later Bill Gates (ANOTHER AMERICAN) created and GUI that was point and click and this opened up the NET to civilians as Home Based PC's became more and more popular! I bet someone feels like an idiot now?

This will never happen, someone is creating a scare and this is False Alarm just like the whole Y2K bullshit! Problem with the internet is that every dick head and asshole who has a PC and some Web design skill can create an authentic looking site and create lies and alarms based on their own conspiracy fears and their Medication induced Paranoias. And why people buy into it is beyond me. Some people crave Chaos so just ignore it and tell them I said Eat My Ass!

No, it's not a scare. I've contacted several internet providers about this issue, and they've all confirmed it. It's planned, and they're waiting. But it may come sooner than expected. But if we rally forth, and make sure that people know what this means for them, it may not happen at all. Every ISP interacts with each other when you're on the internet. Your computer most probably connects with a server somewhere that's affiliated with a different provider. And unfortunately, it will suck.

These companies do not own the internet. They are only an access point. How can they form a "Monopoly" which is totally illegal in the US to restrict access on the basis of payment? I would say a bunch of people should look into a co-op people can join and pay a minimal fee that could possibly be accessed by satelite or something of that nature and then get everyone to join for a minimal fee similar to what most pay now and that would maintain the upkeep and also pay for maintenance
Mollidew 3 years ago
Actualy, it doesn't matter if they own the internet or not. They allow you access to said internet. They host the servers you use to access it. If they do this, they aren't creating a monopoly, they're just changing the way you access the internet, and gaining a major profit in the process without reguard to the small buisnesses, and websites. This way, everyone has to pay them. Even websites will have to. It will be just like cable and satelite. If you pay them, they'll show your website.

the americans cant use the internet to there own causes. its a british invention and the computer is an american invention. its a lie the internet wont ever close !
JUNAID187 3 years ago
Wow are you misinformed. The internet as we know it was an american millitary network long before it became a world wide thing. Also, America did not invent the computer. Yes we came up with the first useable computer that did not fit in an entire room, but really it was the japanese who discovered the microchip.
The internet will not ''close'' as you say, but more like become just like satelite and cable television. This has already started in British and other European countries. Get Facts.
