With the Buoyant Safety Paddle a balance brace is a novice skill. Without the BSP balance brace is an intermediate or expert skill.

What happens when it gets windy with that paddle. Fail :)

Because the paddle is unfeathered cross winds are not usually an issue. I've paddled into head winds strong enough to bring my forward speed to 0 mph and felt that wind waves, my body, and my kayak were more of a deterrent than the paddle.
