A roof over one's head is taken for granted by most, but it has been a dream hard to achieve for millions of Sichuan residents since an earthquake destroyed their homes last May 12.
Ten months after the disaster, which killed 88,000 people and injured 400,000, many of the survivors are still living in pokey and crude shelters made of plastic, old boards or foam rubber.
Homes for Hope, a charity initiative by the South China Morning Post, would like to join hands with victims in two Sichuan villages to realise their dream of a permanent home.
