Vala's Pumpkin Patch 2010

We took our annual trip/visit to Vala's Pumpkin Patch.

Vala's Pumpkin Patch offers an experience that defies explanation, and only the limited but fortunate population of eastern Nebraska has been able to experience it first-hand.

If I had to label it, I would have to call it an 'Attraction'. There are no rides per say although there is a train and ponies and a tractor-driven hayrack ride out to the pumpkin patch. Also included: Ice cream barn, paint ball barn, huge slides, apple sling shots, pig races, magic shows, 2 haunted houses, many 'stores', pork chops on sticks, pedal cars, jumpy things, turkey legs, kettle corn and SO MUCH MORE.

The best thing is the crowd and the ambiance. There are lots of families, kids, grandparents... TONS of kids.

I was soooo spoiled when I was lucky enough to go to this pumpkin patch last year 2010..it was so great..like a city within a city! Then I come back to Colorado and all the so called pumpkin patches are just a field with a few pumpkins..that's it..(singing..IN THE GHETOOO!!!!!)...Vala's rocks!

I love Vala's! In 2011 they put in this cool thing in the pumpkin mine where water explodes from a "mountain"! It's so cool and the spinny thing at the end is my fave part! They have THE BEST!!! Turkey legs kettle corn!

I used to love going down there years ago. Then I got older, and nothing seemed to cater to my age group. They had the best apple cider there, though. I'm wishing I would've gone there while I was home in Omaha this weekend, but I guess I'll have to make do with the apple cider from Wal-Mart.
