What a race was that one I won $120 from the sweep while lost $50 on betting 1. 2. & 6 total won $70au which is my highest winning ever.

No cover, 3 wide, head-strong wind, never tested at 2 miles. A gutsy effort. Shocking deserved his win.

well you could say everyone got sucked in or you can look at who the horse was that won the melbourne cup last year and the caufield cup this year and think that horse must be in some form. whoever that horse was hmm. so you cant discredit the form just didn't fall his way and didn't ride the best. such is racing you win some you lose some

The thing about Viewed was, in last years Melbourne Cup he carried a very light weight - just like Shocking this year. However, with the 58kg this year (Bart did alert peope to that) and perhaps having the stuffing knocked out of him with his previous racing this season I confess I had my doubts. Thinking he was probably 'over the top' a little. I tend to enjoy the race more when a proven two miler wins, unfortunately the bookies and TAB don't.
