I can not pretend that when I hear the Holy Spirit I hear a man. No I do not follow the pastor. He is human and God the father is not human he is a spirit so is the Holy Ghost. After what Eve did that's when women fell. Yes we were equals but the Bible teaches that men are the leaders of the house. I read somewhere that your belief is a pre-christain pagan religion. Jesus stood up for Mary because that's who he is. He is love and love always see the best in others.

@jassy3675 If men are to be the leaders, why didn't Yeshua say so? When Peter looked down on Mary, Yeshua lifted her up on more than one occasion. When the Roman Church merged with the Roman Empire, women were demoted. The Roman Empire was a man's world and the Roman Church sold out to superiority of men but this is not what Yeshua preached. You can believe what you want but you cannot find it from the one you follow, unless you follow your pastor/priest.

@astrofrk Ok so men are not superior, but they are the leaders of the christian house hold. I want the man I marry to be a leader. This is my belief.

@jassy3675 A woman cannot have any authority in most Catholic and most protestant churches and have been treated as inferior to men for thousands of years. I am a man and I don't see women as inferior, do you? Spiritually, there are no sexes and all are equal in Heaven, so how can men be superior? In Valentinian Gnostic Christianity, all are equal and all are clergy. It is very possible Mary Magniline was the greatest disciple, even the Catholics now say she was not a whore they made her.

@jassy3675 The Theos (God) is not female but God created Sophia (Holy Spirit), which is Greek for "Wisdom". If you read throughout Psalms, Wisdom is referred to as a "She" and this can also be found in Corinthians. According to John 1, Yeshua/the Logos existed long before the birth of Jesus. Sophia is the spiritual mother of the Logos according to Gnostic Christianity. You do not have to see God as male, nor Sophia as female as they are spriritual, not sexual. But why not?

@astrofrk What do you hear a female? If there was a woman in the mix the Bible would say so. God was not born of a woman. He has always been. That's why he is the almight. I am a female as well but I just can not see the Holy Spirit as a woman.

@glorytoyahweh1 What is on Earth is a reflection of what is in heaven. As a Gnostic Christian, I believe the Godhead is the holy family. Yeshua had a spriritual father and a mother just as we all have earthly parents. Your mothers name is not your fathers name. The Roman Catholics later did away with the devine feminine and to this day gives little authority to females. They give no explanation to wisdom written as a female in Psalms but the ancient Jews and the Gnostic Christians do.

@astrofrk when I hear the Holy Spirit I hear a man and he is nice but stern. He only gives short statements or commands to me. When I try to disobey he repeats himself with the same ton. My friend on the other hand says she hears a female. I think it is interesting how people hear the spirit differently.

I am a Gnostic Christian. We considder the Holy Spirit a female. She is named "Sophia" which is Greek for "Wisdom". Wisdom is referred as a "She" throughout Psalms as well as various places in the New Testiment. The Jewish faith also recognised this but the Roman church took out the devine feminine as Rome was male dominated. If you have felt her, you cannot deny the soft touch of a woman. She is the spiritual mother of Yeshua (Jesus).
