Israel and the Nations of the World

The spiritual definitions of "Israel" and "Nations of the World" according to Kabbalah.

"Israel" comes from the (Hebrew) term "Yashar (K)El," meaning "Directly to the Creator." Israel is the innermost desire in a person that attracts a person toward an unknown, undefined source of pleasure.

"Nations of the World" are desires for recognizable, known pleasures in this world.

The spiritual definitions of these terms bear no relationship whatsoever to nationalism.
