These "tough street guys" chase the escaped chicken in this opening clip from the City of God movie. Great camera work, transistions and rewally funny as the chicken gets over!

City of god is a good movie but sadly it reality out there there is soo many hood or slum now days that are terrible like the movies n lil Ze is one ugly motherfucker demons but scary as hell lol

@ANNIEINPRINT as a brazilian i find the movie not entertaining but interesting and proud that the truth about the poverty in brazil can be depicted correctly, just like wen u laugh at something u relate too. and to those that live on the outside dont understand that this today (2011) is still very true and unfortunatelly is something we live with.

The fast pace action, with the "Jungle Music"
the amazing sense in gang wars because of the placment of the camera which is on the center of fight and not on the sides. very nice shot is the 360 at the beggining of the movie of the main actor to his child hood playing soccer

Hi, I am a media student currently writing an essay on the representation of slum life, in Brazilian cinema. To aid my research I am trying to find out why audience's have found the film 'City of God' entertaing and what aspects in particular they found engagaing, so any comments you leave relating to this would be greatly appreciated. I posted this movie up for the excellent camera and production work with the chicken. In my opinion it is quite funny when juxtaposed against the terrible living situation portrayed in the movie. I don't have anything critically to say regarding the whole movie itself. But I am sure there are lots of opinions out there.
