MenuetOS 64

Just a quick video of an OS ive been trying out called MenuetOS, this is the newer 64bit version, its written in assembler so I was just seeing how many apps I could run at the same time... Enjoy! :-)

Rofl, Probably true, I don't know why I made it to be honest, I need a tripod desperately... I was just trying to run as many apps as possible to see if the OS could keep up or not [Seems it couldn't really]

Lol... True ;-)... I'm just an OS geek I guess... I love trying different ones out... This one isn't that useful really, I just thought it was cool because it fit on a 1.44mb floppy... (Like QNX...) Anyway, Yeah... I'm just an OS freak ;-)

A really robust system, like FreeBSD, Linux, Unix, OsX and Windows, built entirely on assembly would cost you your soul.

It would as expensive as some countries GDP. And I'm talking about over 100s of billion to development, maintain and scale.

debian is worth in the single digit billions to base on lines of code / man hours * average salary.

but there is really nothing impressive about the system.

if you know anything about programming you know that assembly doesn't equal better performance. That is dependent on the quality of the code. And you have a higher percentage ratio of creating better code with c/c++ then assembly, and it is maintainable and scalable.  In the end its all comes down to the same 1 and 0.

it is free to download and is getting written to a floppy so there is no installation on a hard drive needed ;) it wil not touch your current system it is just fun to play around with such an operating system,but true it is not made for everyday use ;)

every program was writtem in assembler, not just the boot, no c++ just hard thinking assembler wow nice job!

I tried that one either a couple of years ago and I'm actually impressed how far it has come.
