I think I know why it's different for right and left handed people. I am generally right handed but can do a lot of things with my left hand, so I tried crocheting with my left hand, and it turns out that using the right hand I insert the hook from the "right" side, but using my left hand I insert my hook from the "wrong" side. At least I think that's what's going on. This causes it to turn different ways.

Thanks sooo much! I have been crocheting and I hated the way the outside looked.! I made a Pikachu hat and I turned everything inside out so it looked better. I always thought U was crocheting wrong because it looked like that(: Thanks now I know I am not doing it wrong(:
