I'm from San Francisco and when I wound up living n Phoenix for 14 years I always remembered this song from the 60s. I'm glad I finally (1) found this song and (2) got back here to the Bay.

Thanks, Surfrider. This was a huge fave of mine in '68. I was young enuf to call an am radio request line and expect a response. They told me they only played hits and CA Girls didn't qualify. Go figger - it was one of the great songs of the era.

The only guitarist from that time who had a sustain equal to Randy California's. A unique album. Great production.

one of my favorite bands, my favorite song would dffently be what time is it off of the album place and time

@jwolfe1115 Interesting! I was e-mailing Rob a while back and he was trying to get in touch with Buddy. I'm a fan from the Lake Charles days of the late 60's and there was no other band around like these guys. I miss them!...and a few other things from those days.

very excellent song that brings back great memories for me thanks

Neal Peart talks about how good this band was in his book, so I thought I would check it out. Pretty good stuff for a band I have never heard before. It's great to still discover new stuff.

Loved Catacombs, dances and live bands at Mt Carmel, Fever Tree, 13th Floor Elevators (when they came in from Austin), Allen's Landing, and even Jesse H Jones High. Great time to be young in Houston.

This is AMAZING!!! My first time ever hearing this and WOW!! :)
My friend lent me a CD by these guys, now I can't stop listening to them, Man Who Paints Pictures and Sun Also Rises are my two favorite songs aside from this one.

Reminds me of the first time I listened through the album back in the late 60's. The unique sound and diversity just blew me away from the "traditional" rock at the time.

Thanks for the comment...I have had the video up for awhile now, but I remember trying to find it here away back and couldn't...took me awhile to figure out how to get it on here, but I knew it had to be exposed again. Even those close to or still in contact with some of the remaining members of the group have sent emails/comments about bringing it back out for new and veteran listeners to here "again"....thanks!

Summer of '67 - Catacombs , Love Street Light Circus at Allen's Landing, Dancing on the Larry Kane show! What great memories-what fun! I still have their albums. I liked this song but their version of "Nowadays Clancey Can't Even Sing" is better than Buffalo Springfield on a good day!!! I wish someone would post that song.

I am working on that, but have hit licensing stumbling blocks. It could be because it is not their original song. I will keep trying and let everyone know if I can get it up here.
