Beautiful Butterflies of West Africa!

The one constant that can be observed while hiking in any forested area of Ghana is the prevalence of butterflies and moths. You can find them on mountaintops, cliff slopes and valleys. The moths can be particularly interesting, especially the Atlas moth and the hummingbird moth. Let that not detract from the dozens of species of brightly colored butterflies that grace the breezes in jungle areas like Helekpe, Wli or Kakum.
