Furtive Conversation could not be hidden. The Gods wouldn't have it; even the mortals could hear each other from a distance as if they were talking into each others ears. A tourist attraction.
The wife did not realize she was in the company of the Immortals. "Can you hear me now," the wife repeated into the air as she walked around. The bored husband would always answer, "Yes."
Funny, how the wife's question in Delphi became immortalized in a trite commercial.
Then we spoke and all tuned in as we tuned them out.
I still hear your last words to me, "Must you go?"
I didn't want to leave you; I had to leave you.
