It was weird how my Dad warned me that my 2nd born-a boy would be born with the cord wrapped around his neck twice, in the days before my sons birth and that did happen, during the final pushing stages.

Beautiful baby! Sorry about the birth injury. May your little baby be blessed with blessings throughout life. My 1st was born sick due to AROM/ARM during rapid NVD, but shes prefectly healthy. 2nd had cord wrapped around his neck twice while pushing his head out, midwife got me to stop pushing and midwife allowed his Daddy cut the cord quickly. He was healthy and discharged home with me 24 hours after birth. 3rd two midwives pulled her out of me, born healthy and biggest.

This brought me to tears because my six month old is laying next to me perfectly healthy and I wish ur baby didn't have to go through this. I'm so sorry.

Everyone has some sort of defect from delivery. Asymmetries are noticeable in all of us because of how we are delivered. I have a deviated septum and my eyes aren't positioned the same

How is Carter now? My sister had a similar delivery this past April. They let her walk to the OR knowing the babies heart rate was dropping and the babies heart completely stopped. It took 15 mins of CPR to get my niece back. She spent over 2 weeks in the NICU and wasn't even suppose to make it. She has severe brain damage and we don't know what the outcome for her will be. She already has been diagnosed with hearing loss and has some cerebral palsy.

I'm very sorry for your tragedy.
the umbilical cord most likely got itself around his neck, and prevented normal flow of oxygen to the brain.
this happened to me aswell, fortunately, the doctors were quick. i was left with some brain damage in the frontal lobes, which has developed into/caused "ADD/ADHD", but i consider myself very lucky to have walked away with only that.
i pray for carter and his family.
