@PrincessIronWeasel Not really what I meant. This is just an animation and I know things were stretched and the characters aren't real, but as for the polytheism and sacrafices, it's pretty accurate. Though most of the time it was only the best people sacraficed to the gods, not the losers. They were usually forced into slavery or just killed.
-
@PsychoPop92 Well it's not really that accurate for one Tulio and Miguel never existed...though Cortes was considered a god when he arrived in the New World.
-
ok, so this is cold, bad, actually evil, but you all do realize that the easiest way out of this for Miguel and Tulio is simply either let Mr. Crazy blood sacrifice a few thousand people, OR have Mr. Crazy himself executed, maybe ritually sacrificed himself? While it is not an ideal situation they find themselves in, the amount of contriving Dreamworks had to do to avoid a bloody ending is simply unrealistic. At the very least, a 'real' overcautious person like Tulio would kill Mr. Crazy.

Wouldn't the little voice be saying not to sacrifice people?

good guy armadillo. has nothing to gain by playing along- plays along anyway...oh god i'm speaking in reddit.

I used to really hate history and I didn't think I would ever need to know anything about the Mayan Empire, but after watching this and realizing how accurate this movie is, I have a new appreciation for it.

@SuperMegabar lmaoo right?? sooooomeone needs a new hobby!

Just so you guys know, it was more likely that the winners were sacrificed, because the natives would have wanted the best for the gods. That's my theory, at least.
-
@loura246 ok i realize this is dreamworks and i was being sarcastic.
