I have the same mouse for 2 years now too. It's the most precise mouse I have ever used and it will work on any surface (or even no surface at all for that matter). But the short battery life is very annoying, It will only last for 4 to 5 days. Also, the black coloring on the scroll pad area has worn of, so it has become transparent, but that's not a big problem. I'm now going to buy a non rechargable lasermouse, Probably Logitech again.

@drsjandoedel - It's got a charging dock, how can you possibly want it to last longer than 1 day on batteries. Just throw it in the dock at night.
