@TheGreatDarksol most of the time its the voice quality that sucks.

Quite frankly, I find that an English dub is rarely ever done properly because most dubs are not English based like this one is. Changing the dialect the media was originally made into (without it being from the creators themselves) is perhaps the single most important key that can utterly destroy any possibility of a good English dubbed anime. That, changing too many words in the script, and of course, voice acting qualities, also play into it

I don't think you understand what I'm portraying here. First, just because they don't use Japanese names doesn't mean it can't be done in Japanese. Second, some game companies release different versions for different parts of the world. Others do universal releases and hardly change content (such as this series). Third, many English Dub animes suck. There has been no debate on that.

@TheJoshuaAdams when nero and kyrie got absorbed in sparda... loved neros crying voice

@TheGreatDarksol Do the names Vergil, Dante, Trish or Lady sound Japanese? If you wanna sell something to the world, you have to do it in English. Pls dn't tell me animes sound better in english. Coz there are a lot of gay dubbed animes out there that sound so terrible.
-
No they didn't. They could have honestly done the game in Japanese, but the only reason they probably did not was because the company decided not to. The Devil May Cry series has always been done in english since the very first game they released. The Megaman X series is a prime example of a series that was normally done in Japanese, that later attempted to try english voices, and had a bad turnout because of it.
It's english because it originally WAS.

@TheGreatDarksol There are many english dubbed anime that sounded so gay. And this is a game and not an anime. Games are sold internationally. They had to do it in english.

This scene has the most amazing voice acting I've ever heard in a game, or any dubbed medium for that matter.
-
It sounds a lot better because Capcom made English the original dub, plus Johnny Yong Bosch actually performing the actions (motion capture) and the voice during that makes him sound much more convincing and in-character. If more animes were done with English being the original dub, it wouldn't be as mocked or badly viewed as it is. It's that simple.
@standeman80 I smell a ninja theory developer :)

This scene is still one of my absolute favorites when it comes to a DMC game. This scene shows that even though Nero possesses part of a demon, he still has such a human emotion such as love for Kyrie. All of these people who complain saying, "Oh well he's just a whiny little bitch." put yourself in his situation. You would most likely do the same thing if you lost the girl you loved. I know I sure as hell would
