Bagpipes are extremely loud and a full pipe band can pump out as many Mhrz as Three Fighter jets breaking supersonic.

@fatalrob0t - You're right. The drums that are played with the pipes were the first snare drums. Using stretched cat gut to make the drum much louder than the older rope tension. and the drums sound like cannon fire. Todays drums sound more like the rolling crack of a machine gun.

Still today in some countries the Pipes are illegal as "weapons of war"

I have seen 3 bagpipers out-noise an entire US Army Band pipe section in a join demonstration. Those 3 pipers drowned out not only the Army band but the entire Marine band when they were playing at once.

bagpipes are typically loud. They were played along with the drums in battle as an intimidation technique, at least as I recall. It's been a while since I read up on the pipes.

Hearing a bagpipe playing always makes my eyes a bit misty. I wonder what song he's playing before "Amazing Grace"? Tory looks dashing in her hat and I love the chant "Tax the Cult!" This is some really good 'raw footage', Moose!
