@blackthought306 I know but they felt like the Jewish slaves as if America was the new Egypt. The new Moses must be Harriet Tubman who freed them from the whitee slave masters.. The black slaves are comparing their fate and dire state to the Jewish slaves, that's what I feel.

@littleberryme This is a dance version, of course Moses would not dance to this version, he would not sing either "Let My People Go". They (the Jews) were the ones who were slaves in Egypt. Then the blacks became slaves in America, so it was written by the blacks because they probably felt ike America represented Egypt.
