Matched grip makes more sense if the snare isn't tilted. I would say that most schools that use a leveled drum with traditional dont sound as good as schools that use traditional with a tilt. But thats just me.

@thsbandie Because that's just how we play. It's easier to teach and the balance hand to hand isn't as big of an issue.
