  • 4440's arent realy hard to find here in the mid west. Now that grain farmers keep getting bigger they trade alot of older tractors in like this one. If your looking for one dont worry about the hours on it. If overall the tractor looks good then it probably is. John Deere probably realy over bult these tractors, but their prety much so bullet proof and they will last forever

  • You need a 3 row. Where are you located? That it is some little corn. Got good ears on it though.

  • Were in Fort wayne Indiana, We were wet all spring then dry all summer then wet all this fall. Nothing got all that tall but we did have some prety good yeilds

  • my grandpa used to have a 4440 and a 900 be he sold out in 03 though he milked 70 cows

  • no. just no. u do not wear shorts on a farm unless your a girl

  • Nice to see this video. Exact same setup I grew up with and my dad still uses today until he retires. I see your comment on the 4440 and you're so right. He has some newer and bigger ones now but the 4440 still performs well.

  • Like this chopping action very much

  • never had the pleasure of a 4440. the ole 900 was a great machine for us though. 2 rows corn silage, 2 guys couldnt keep up hauling wagons. a nd this with only a mildly tweaked Ford 9700 powering it. I really dont see a 3 row on there with a 4440 being a great idea though. neighbors had a very tough time with 3 row 1265 Gehl on a 4630. nice video..... I miss the days of livestock on farm. now its plant, harvest, and town jobs
