@Part4Skate - LOL okay . . . 0-60 mph in 8.9 seconds . . . You can't even beat a 1990 Ford F-150 POS pickup truck . . . I find it silly that You would brag about "cars I have beat racing" while driving a vehicle designed for fuel-efficiency . . . for the same money You can buy a Subaru WRX STI or Mitsubishi EVO that go 0-60 in 4.5 secs . . . oh btw there are Toyota MR-2's with 480 whp that get average 46 mpg on the street . . . love the TDI, just think Your comment is silly/childish . . .

@85305 - You are correct, its been almost 10 years since I read that issue of Sport Compact Car magazine's 2002 "Ultimate Street Car Challenge" issue . . . it was actually 36 mpg.
