The song "Speak Low" is gorgeous. It isn't Ava's voice (she DID sing quite well), but it doesn't detract from the scene.

It's amazing that Ava Gardner not only has such a beautiful face...but also beautiful arms, neck, shoulders, back, chest, skin, waist, hair, etc. etc.!

I mean, what are the chances of all that coming together in one person???

Not only is this a great song but this is the best rendition of it ever as it's sung with so much passion. Perhaps it's the scenes too especially where Robert Walker's Fiance is watching Dick Haines while he cooks and there's this incredible sense of passion and longing. In fact the passion is much greater between them than the two stars....fantastic movie.

I thought it was her but you're right as it was Eileen Wilson. The one that intrigued me was when India Adams sang for Cyd Charisse in the Band Wagon.
