yeah! well it does play in 1080i. their is not alot of difference between 1080p & 1080i. infact satelite providers only play their content in 1080 interlaced.

I paid 599 plus tax for this tv its amazing its 1080p had it for a year now still works amazing colors are way better then my relatives led tv I only use blu rays on it with a good sound system it'd amazing and for ps3 it worked very well too

Almost nothing is 1080. Blue ray and video games. No cable company sends 1080. Also 90% of people cant see the diff from 720 and 1080.. This tv is $529 at walmart right now/ If you need 1080 that bad pay an extra $1000
