IMPUL is probably most famous for its racing car, CALSONIC IMPUL GT-R. Founded on 1980 by Nissan's legendary factory driver Kazuyoshi Hoshino, IMPUL exclusively produces aftermarket parts for Nissan cars, and runs a motorsports team "Hoshino Racing" for SuperGT and Formula races in Japan.

Achievements of Hoshino is historic. Having himself as a driver, he won JGTC (ex SuperGT) series championship 3 years in a row from 1993 through 1995. Seen on the video, the 1:4 scale miniature racing car of R32 Nissan GT-R was a gift from Nissan's President, praising Hoshino's contribution to Nissan and Japanese motorsports.

With 30 years of great work, IMPUL has many enthusiastic fans. Ichiro from MLB Seattle Mariners is one. While owning Infiniti G35 coupe and Porsche carrera GT and many others, he keeps a Nissan Micra (JDM name: March) fully tuned by IMPUL in his garage.

  • Did somewhere in this showroom sit the JGTC 2003 Calsonic Skyline GT-R in showroom condition?

  • @dasgtr No, I didn't see that. I think this showroom is mainly for production cars, and they keep racing cars in another place.

  • 'ricer', 'rice car' are racist derogatory terms usually said by muscle car loving meatheads. having uploaded so many cool videos of japanese cars, please don't give in to the use of racist slang. doesn't make sense.

  • @mentalmetal1 Thanks... I didn't really know the background/origin of those words (so I've deleted my previous comment). Living in Japan keeps me away from learning slang and I appreciate your advice.

  • Niiice :D They sure got some awesome showrooms where you are.

After watching this video and your older Honda ones one thought occurred to me. "I wonder how many people over here in North America would say ricer at the drop of a hat?"

  • @drakewingfire Glad you enjoyed it! When I visit a showroom like this, it's not only their products I will see, but also their history. Now I like IMPUL more than before. And thanks for your comment which is really encouraging for me!

  • I love the music! Cool video haha

  • Wow I've always wondered what Impul was on the Calsonic race cars in Super GT. I know Calsonic made radiators and parts for the cars and they have been the sponsor for the Impul team since 1987. Very nice showroom. I have a few Calsonic Impul racing diecast.

  • When it comes to tuning for a Nissan. Is it Impul or Mine's??

  • everyone can tune his car like he want

for me Japanese and British tune better.

  • @chitaka2000 They just came out with a GTR-35 upgrade this year. Unfortunatly, its JDM exclusive and costs roughly 16 million yen I believe
