  • alluminum is such a good conductor and you need resistance to get heat etc so in a word then no, its best on steels only. hope that helps.

  • Simple as possible, perfectly clear and instructive. Just a question: could it be used with alluminum or alloy?

  • Undoubtedly the best presented home made spot welder video I've seen so far. Most of the others miss out, or gloss over some important details (or fuzzy pictures and mumbling!), but this man has covered everything clearly and concisely, even going to the extent of making his electrode holders out of clear perspex so that the cam action of the moving electrode can be clearly seen. Truly excellent. I'm now inspired to have a go at one !
