I don't think those were his parents, notice how when he drew on the suitcase the couple go to another apartment to talk to the unidentified woman the little boy is standing next to? Also when he drew on the walls, the woman took him to another apartment... I think she was babysitting him. When we see the couple now, we see them remembering the little boy they once knew and how they "always knew he had potential". I don't know what they're saying, but I think that's it!

@FromBoomTown The Ad had a little boy drawing on the wall and on his parents car and you expect the parents to be happy that he made mess for them to clean it up! A mural is different from a plain wall and a car drawn on isn't a proper place to use crayons! Don't be narrow minded! Like if you would be happy if your child marked up your car or your newly painted walls!
