More at http://www.theuptake.org. Iraq Veterans Against the War marched towards the convention center at the RNC in St. Paul today with the goal of presenting Senator John McCain with a list of demands about the Iraq Occupation. While the veterans had no problem gaining access to Senator Obama, Senator McCain refused to meet with the group. The UpTake's Chuck Olsen reports.

  • Go to hell you a hole, you're a poor excuse for an american. Just because some vets are smart enough to see the reality, you want to criticize them. Go read your bible and screw yourself.

  • John McCain is no war hero, there is nothing heroic about war, death and violence. These soldiers are the true patriots of our country and our government cares very little about them. The empirical evidence supports this. What happened to the great leaders of change and peace during the Vietnam War, that war was more "just" than the Iraq War but nobody does anything other than the soldiers who served there? People are polarized by the media and lies persist. We the people..are the USA not govt.

  • Very eery connection between the principles of FORRESTAL and the almost ideologically symbolic bombing of the USS Forrestal ship one month after USS Liberty. Just look up the history of both ships and what they stood for.

McCain was on board the FOrrestal and likely caused the fire according to a bunch of blurbs. Then he stay anonymous for the next 3 months and then is gone for 6 years as a POW? I mean, seriously? Then this "random" schmuck becomes Mr. War hero and marries rich?! Nope.

  • Maybe the Veterans you wanted him to meet were fucking MORONS!

Obviously the color guard at the beginning of this video are morons. You don't "dip" the American Flag! All I see are pussies in those uniforms. The kind we kicked the shit out of in my unit!

  • McCain probably had good reason not to. This was the same group that defended Jesse MacBeth even after he was proven to be phony.

  • The United States of America is not a Democracy; rather, it is a Constitutional Republic. In a Democracy the sovereign lies in the majority (51%). In a Constitutional Republic, sovereignty lies in the individual and is protected by Government. However, what most people percieve today as government is a Corporation known as the United States 28 USC 3002. The United States rules through contract law and is known politically as fascism.

  • Actually the Corporation known as the United States was formed in the Organic Act of 1871. The Original Jurisdiciton Governement seats are currently vacant and need to be reseated. teamlaw(dot)org

  • george bush committed many acts of treason against the American people. Obama continues his policies and nothing will change.

Nazi Germany v 2.0 courtesy of the NWO coming to America soon.

  • Yes, there are - and they are every bit as heroic, patriotic and important as those who feel differently.

And I'm mad as hell, like those warriors who oppose us having gone into the war in Iraq...that it was handled so badly, done so precipitously, and above all, that we have lost over 4300 over no-bid contracts and a poor excuse or a President who wanted revenge for his Daddy. Smedley Butler was right - War is a Racket.

  • Ever since the seditious and treasonous act against JFK, our country became the United States of Corporate America. If Obama cannot usurp the Banksters and Corporate tentacles which are bleeding the American blood out of all of us, than we will have to set things straight for the future of our children.
