@tinyman12323 Fly the airplane, just because the prop flys off doesn't mean you should stop flying it, fly the airplane that why when you're learning how to fly they teach you best glide speed.
@yellowcub86 It doesn't, but what would happen if say your prop literally flew off? (Which I know who's prop did that) The parachute is very useful in emergencys.
@RainbowManification It's really not. It sucks the fuel down in the climb but levels out pretty quickly. Over the course of a 300 mile trip you'll burn less fuel than a 182.

That is a "speed brake", used for decreasing speed so that the pilot can descend at a desirable rate.
