Sucks. I've known people that had crashed because of racing, but never anyone who died. Thank God for that. I stopped street racing a couple of years ago, and decided to hit the track. I wouldn't go back to that lifestyle ever. Give me a track, and I'm fine. More people need to learn this, and actually do it.

yeah i use to be in the racing scene as well about 8 years ago and lost a friend my senior year in high school in 02. he was thrown from the car and then the car rolled over him. the track is a more controlled space and better to race there than on the streets. thanks for the post it means a lot.

These guys are a bunch of tools... Driving mommy and daddy's car.. These cars might have a little bit of power but they are not made for racing!!! The Brakes, Suspension, Engine, everything are not made for handling, performance and going fast.. I mean that guy who's girl got ejected and died.. What was he driving a top heavy hatch back made for grocery shopping.. Fuking idiots I tell you.. You shouldn't race in a car made for it.. Much less the family grocery getter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!

I nearly crashed one day I was speeding... For my good, I was lucky and managed to save both car and me with nothing...

What fuels street racing is the power of the unknown, nothing else... I won't say it's good or bad, I do it and can't judge it... still... be careful out there folks...

And I you do want to race, a cage roll bar and some reinforcing will help.

Better handle and better safety, don't learn the hard way
