Bajau sa Makabagong Panahon is a community-related documentary film which tackles about how the Sama-Bajau tribe journeyed from the vast waters of Mindanao to the remote plains of Apalit, Pampanga and how this event brought changes to their culture and lifestyle in general. This documentary film revolves around the preservation of their identity as Sama-Bajaus in their struggle to cope up with the new challenges brought about by the modern day, their search for education, acceptance and respect from the greater population and their dream to be recognized as a fully functioning member of the Filipino society.
