what sucks with it? Anything with the functionality? the whole idea sounds great to me at least. And even tough you pretty much answered my question again i ask again just to be certain. The megamix function works on user patterns also right?

Yes. Select a blank user pattern. Hit record 3 times then play. Then you can use shift + the chicklet keys to select a sound then highlight the chicklets you want the sound to play on. Bass drums on the 1, 5, 9, 13. Snares on the 5s and 13s. HH on the 3, 7, 11, 15. I hope this helps.
Or you can just hit record then play and input the drums live.

You can mix individual parts from presets live. It works well enough. I hadn't had this machine for very long when I made this vid. If you spend a long time building up a good selection of patterns you can get some cool results with this function. I don't think it exists on the 303 though.
