Tatoo the zebra

This is mostly Tatoo, he more or less steals the show most of the time. Almost too close to get a good look at him. This is after Hurricane Ike. Notice his name band just in case a tree should fall on the fence and he or the other zebras get out.

he is beautiful and you seem very comfortable with him. I dont think i could be that comfortable with him exhibiting his dominance by putting you behind his shoulder. Are they basically the same mentally as a horse or no? If a horse were to do that he would be showing dominance, rather he wants a scratching or not. is it the same with him?

@sheedalaadie He is a very easy-going zebra. He isn't pushy and although he loves attention and asks to be scratched, he never pushes or invades space. At the slightest request, he moves out of a person's space and even as a mature stallion, he never once gave any cause for us to be concerned. A truly wonderful boy.

Yes, he has a collar on, it is an Identification collar that I put on all of the animals during Hurricane Ike just in case someone got lost. They were fastened with Velcro so that they would tear free if it got caught on something.

Do you have more than one zebra? I think it's just fascinating the way you have him to behave so well its even better than some horses that i have met before :) great job
