  • They shut down the government they can expect me to pack my family and my stuff and move to Canada. I'm sick and damn tired of republican religious agenda being shoved down my throat. That's what this is. It's a religious agenda. Screw the poor. The poor are poorer. They turn to God and pray. They give what little money they have left to the church.Vicious cycle. Screw the poor make the rich richer. Bastards!! You won't see my tax dollars when I move! I won't teach your brainwashed kids!

  • @lsl70 That's what they said before the Civil War started too...

  • @ScrewGlennBeck you are such a moron sonny as i am alot smarter then you will ever be so get a life.

  • @ScrewGlennBeck Not really. I'm a political science major. It's kinda my job to know this kinda stuff...

  • I think we all can agree that the two party system is a failure and we elect people who really aren't representing the best interests of individuals and this nation as a whole. We should stop letting the government and the media divide us when we all fundamentally want the same thing. Enough of these fake neo-cons and neo-liberals! We need to elect real conservatives and real liberals. End wars, Patriot Act, and cut spending yet implement smart programs to help people in need as well.

  • @ScrewGlennBeck I can't really see how the Federal government shutting down for a short period of time could possibly personally effect you? I never noticed anything in 1994. Are you a Federal employee? Also you just said the party system was the problem yet you blame the Republicans. Both parties are the problem. The financial crisis is the result of corrupt mega banks manipulating the economy and our monetary system. Both corporatist parties have done nothing about this.

  • @veso5554 I know the State budgets aren't set by the Federal regime. There are a limited set of duties the Federal government is authorized to perform in the Constitution and the 10th amendment leaves all else to the States. The States were meant to be sovereign beyond those Constitutional restraints. Why else would they have their own Constitutions? Now they're treated like mere sub-divisions of the Federal regime.

  • @veso5554 Look, this discussion has been nice, but pointless. Fact is, even if the states could all of a sudden suceed, they wouldn't. That would cause so much political and economic turmoil, there'd be mass demonstrations and chaos in the Republic of Idaho and so on and so forth.

  • @lsl70 The state budgets aren't set by the federal government. They're set by the local legislative body and approved by the governor. All state elected posts. I'm talking at all about the federal debt or the federal budget. That has nothing to do with the states. Aside from that, the states are finding it extremely difficult to foot their own bills and stay within their budgets. And the 10th Amendment doesn't give the states free reign.

  • @lsl70 The government is to big to shut down? Yeah it is you're right. Yet it happened in the 1990's, 1994 was horrible. Fuck me you haven't any understanding of history. That financial crisis killed my family. The republicans put us in it. At the time they also reduced educational spending. Fired teachers and went on a religious parade. Stop making claims you can't back up. Stop saying stupid things you fucking ignorant piss ant.

  • @ScrewGlennBeck The Democratic agenda wasn't any better. Both parties are pretty much on the same page which is why nothing ever changes for the better in this country. Also the whole religion thing is an act for the big number of religious voters out there. In addition you are aware that they wouldn't actually shut the government down? That's just something they say to get a rise out of people. The government is too big to ever truly shut down.

  • @veso5554 Of course they're bankrupt because they're run by idiots who over spend on things the government shouldn't even be doing to begin with. Something has to be done about the Federal government. It's pretty much getting to be as tyrannical as the British were. Every year they grow bigger and intrude in our lives more and more. We need our State officials to enforce their 10th amendment rights.
