This story shows what types of situations Army journalists can find themselves in the middle of during a mission.

Jeremy Todd and I were in Basic and Advanced Individual Training together. I went to the 1st Brigade of the 10th Mountain at Fort Drum, NY. He went to the 4th Brigade of the 10th Mountain Division in Fort Polk, La. His next assignment is as an instructor at the Defense Information School at Fort Meade, MD.

Brigade Journalists are the grunts of the Army's Public Affairs Offices. As SGT Todd would say, "You can't tell a good story if you stay inside."

My hat goes off to all brigade journalists out there as well as combat camera, who risk their lives on any given day to tell the Soldier's story.
