Recently, the folks at AGWA de Bolivia were kind enough to send me a few mini-bottles of their new herbal coca-leaf based liqueur. My co-worker George and I sampled it recently and give you our feedback here in this video.
We were really pleasantly surprised. I'm not crazy about herbal liqueurs in general. For my taste, they can be a little too, well, herbal. Too much like leaves or green tea.
However, we both really enjoyed AGWA de Bolivia, perhaps a little too much. They originally sent me 4 little airplane-serving-sized bottles of AGWA, and now I wish they'd sent me a whole big bottle (especially since a friend got into my freezer one night and drank one before I knew it.)
If you can find this in your liquor store or at your favorite bar, do it up. We tried mixing it with Red Bull, which was okay (Red Bull can be so overpowering), but it was decent on the rocks (a splash of soda and lime would've made it better) and the AGWA de Bolivia Rainforest Caipirinha (AGWA de Bolivia, muddled limes, brown sugar) was outstanding. Really wish I still had some left. Going to find a liquor store nearby that sells some as soon as I finish uploading this video.
Check it out and let me know what you think. Or if you've already had it, share your thoughts.
Cheers!

  • dude screw this shit you should review only the balkan wonder of RAKIJA.

it's is a yellow or clear drink with 50 to 70 percent alcohol and it burns like hell when you swallow it and it's almost impossible to drink in the summer.

i could send you a bottle but for the price that i got to pay at the post office for sending it I could buy 20 bottles of RAKIJA!!

    cheers friend, best wishes

  • @kire271MK Never heard of it. Sounds like hell. And now I want to try it.

  • could do with a better mic:( struggled to hear it at times.

  • @dagsgaz I hear ya. I recently got a wireless mic but it wouldn't have worked for 2 people. All of my new videos should have much better audio quality.

  • @tubefish22 well vodka is made of potatoes and this is made mainly from grapes but it can be made from many other fruits. The grape one is the best but the one made of plums is pretty good too. So i guess no it's not balkan vodka but is a very strong hard liqueur. And I love it :)

  • @kire271MK Is that the same as Balkan vodka? its 88% and dirrttyyy

  • Drinking it after he was stirring it with his finger. This shit must be good. haha

  • @nathanboobier the UK is one of the top consumers. you should be able to find it easily.

  • it's not your mic that's bad, it's the acoustic environment. too much echo from the hard unpadded walls.

why are you trying to make a cocktail with redbull? the flavor is horrible and likely to drown out just about any thing you put with it, especially a relatively lightly flavored spirit like agwa. go buy yourself a copy of "how to mix drinks" by jerry thomas.

  • and the coke products go straight to the street after that :D

  • chris any plans to bring out more videos?

  • As a liquer collector I found this stuff okay, but seriously expensive. At least it is in the UK
