  • Thank you for translating the Lord's Prayer in Cherokee. I have discovered Cherokee is part of my heritage. Scots, Irish, Cherokee, and I grew up in foster homes, so this is very special to me. the Lord's Prayer isn't to be used as a chanted prayer Bible Verieties. The Prayer was a model of how we should pray, beginning wih honoring The Father, He is hallowed. English isn't the only language that is spoken in Heaven....God hears all His children in their language, as He made them!

  • Praying with the Father is simply talking with our Creator, and it's all about having a personal, intimate relationship with our Abba Father! It's not about us making sure we are perfect, because we are not! Jesus Christ came and died because all men fall short of the glory of God! In Christ, we have all, praise God, been reconciled back to the Father! We are free in Christ to LOVE our Father and one another, and through forgiveness, we are new creatures in Christ! We are redeemed!

  • Proud Cherokee heritage! Thanks for posting.

  • as someone before me said. "When your Jesus returns, he will look upon this land and ask. (where are all the children I put on this land?, where are the people I placed here?)

  • @whisper2moi Someday I will post my new language. It is based in Love and Respect for the HuMaan Nation, because, to the world, "I Love You"..."Aniya NaH HamaHu", or "Aniya NaH HamaH AnuyaH".

  • @Magicdwags Thank you for posting this. I am of Tsalagi Nation, but my Ancestry has been lost to me. My grandmother was not on the "rolls". She was sold into slavery as a child. I desire connection with my people, but that seems so long go. I know noone who speaks my peoples language. I am eternally sad...so I have written my own language. Part of remembering it is to write the "Lord's Prayer". I recognize the seven universal principles in it, which is why it is important to me...

  • My father is 25% Cherokee. That makes me some I guess.

  • Wonderful! I am part Cherokee. Just learning the Cherokee Language. Thank you for posting :)
