WOW... Next to my friend Matt's video, this is one of the best videos of Old Tiger Stadium before the rest was torn down. I probably would have spent more time wandering around the rest of the stadium taping more stuff! How did you get in? GREAT JOB and thanks for posting this...

That is the visitor locker room & dugout he was in.

I'm one of the names on the lockers in the video. We're the last fantasy campers to play there in 2001.

@rhymeswithrawk I have an idea. I have a friend who's rich father-in-law bought him a chance to play with a bunch of retired Tigers at Comerica Park. Dave Rozema pitched to my friend, and he got a uniform with his name on the back and a baseball card of himself etc. It cost like a couple grand I think. Maybe they had a couple of these "Fantasy" BB games at the old stadium, 'Your LAST CHANCE to play at Tiger Stadium" and they put the fans names up in the locker room. That's one theory. Maybe? LOL

@rhymeswithrawk Noted. I removed my comments. Sorry for "assuming" and jumping the gun.

@loungelizard5000 Don't "duh" me, kiddo. Look up the names on the Internet. NONE of them EVER played major league baseball, for the Tigers or any visiting team. Duh.
Those names in the Tiger clubhouse are the last fantasy campers who played there in October 2001. I was one of them and I'm one of the names over the lockers. Looks like we were one of the last to go via the bulldozers.

@62KSP Thanks for clearing the clubhouse names mystery. I've been a Tiger fan for sometime and none of those names rang a bell. I was not aware that they held a fantasy camp at Tiger Stadium. They always promote the one in Lakeland. That must have been a thrill to participate in the fantasy camp and use the locker rooms ! Of course now all that is left is the "Field of Dreams". There are people that are currently maintaining the field and I hear impromptu games pop up every now and then.

I've never heard of ANY of those names. Weird.

I haven't either. I googled 1999 Detroit Tigers and I did not see any of those names. Maybe they were minor league call ups in September ? It wasn't a very good team that year. They were managed by Larry Parrish and had a record of 69-92.

TEAR IT DOWN

That would be the easy thing to do and with the condition of disrepair it's in now I can see your point. I think with Detroit being such a great sports city that we could make a go of this. Detroit has torn down so many architectually significant buildings that it's downright sad. Saving Tiger Stadium and retrofitting it for the modern era could be a huge urban planning bonanza, The history and the passion of the fans cannot be denied. Hopefully someone can step up to the plate with a plan.
