@dalve00 Haha.. no, it goes out many times every year up here, sometimes for a few hours, sometimes for 2 or 3 days.. it's a problem.

@dalve00 Moosonee and Moose Factory are supplied by rail, but the communities furtner north are supplied by aircraft, however at the moment there is a winter road going north.. only problem would be fuel supply for vehicles. Aircraft could be used as a back up if the needed... and yes, the outage was not very long.. any longer it could have been a very big problem. Frozen water lines and things like that. People freezing and getting hungry.

@jmr604 I thought the outage would produce more aircraft movements, like you had to get supplies at a larger community. I suppose that would have happened if the outage lasted longer.

@dalve00 turbines don't have a problem.. but it's too cold for me flying the Six... usually anything colder than -25, unless it's really important we don't bother flying. Didn't really notice any aircraft today but I think it was probably mostly due to the power being off and the weekend.

@dalve00 It was off for about 7 1/2 hours for myself.. didn't get cold we have a wood stove. It was back on late in the morning.
