Hearing loss occurs at the frequency range the loud noises occur. Pounding the hell out of your subs isn't going to make it difficult to hear voices, unless you know the most miraculous baritone alive who speaks from 28-50hz. You'll only notice a loss in lower end sounds, but even then, most naturally occurring low notes are usually followed by tremendous vibrations (thunder for example) so your ability to perceive these low notes will be BARELY noticeable.
fuck sake.

@TEEVENSSNEVEET dumb fuck, thats called using every last bit of material you can.

Thats awesome and all but your missing a low frequency cone. It would sound 100 times better with that.

@yukhui 2 of them were dual voice coils where the lower frequency coils was burned on the one and bent on the other, so they didn't really work; unless blimps of noise count.
where is spider

@leoleon08 Under the cone attached to the basket, like almost every other sub..... The easiest way to conclude a sub HAS a spider is if you can't hear the voice coil scraping up and down the pole piece (it's usually VERY noticeable). But that's not to say all subs with a spider won't make this noise.

Genius man, just genius! I wish I would've thought to do that with 4 12 inch subs I just tossed in the dumpster last week. They were all barely working and I got so fed up with them, didn't know what else to do so just junked them. Now I have no bass, and wish I would've seen this sooner, LOL

@Adzerk Damn four 12" motors would have been great. Better luck next time.
