Maruti Suzuki, the carmaker to India, has proven a lot to the world of automobiles. Not just that its vehicles can withstand the most inhospitable of terrains but also its commitment to motorsports. This is not just the perfect platform to test its vehicles but also gives its consumers and some others find adventure on the road and off it.
(Maruti Suzuki Raid de Himalaya) Every year, many ambitious people in their relatively tiny vehicles dare to take on the great Himalayas. The beautiful landscape with rolling mountains and icy rivers is lost on the participants as they only have eyes for the thin strip of land ahead of them, which by some stretch of imagination could be called a road. The world's highest rally takes them through some of the highest passes while depriving them of sleep, comfort and oxygen.
(Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm) The Desert Storm is a test of faith. Faith in yourself and in your machine. Faith that you can make it across from one side of the mighty Thar Desert, all the way to the Rann of Kutch. The Desert Storm takes you through the hot desert crossing sand dunes, working its way over sandy tracts, and lots more sand before culminating with a spectacular run along the Arabian Sea. The first TSD desert rally in the country with a night leg pushes contestants from the first check point to the finish line that is most likely a mirage .
(Maruti Suzuki Dakshin Dare) Having taken on the arid part of the country, Maruti Suzuki takes on the dense greens of peninsular India with Dakshin Dare. It takes participants through areas that boast pristine jungles and wildlife, going up and down the Blue Mountains and giving southern India its own rally.
(AutoCross) The Maruti Suzuki AutoCross provides urban automobile enthusiasts a unique forum where they can test their mettle and satisfy their need for speed. They push their vehicles to the limit on tarmac and pit it against the clock. In these events conducted every of often across the country, speed and control are nothing compared to the fact that they are actually the true test of nerves.
