3 Thai Duets (Woratep Rattana-umpawan)

Formed in 1981 by Singapore Cultural Medallion recipient and local music doyen, Mr Alex Abisheganaden, GENUS is a guitar ensemble made up of undergraduates and graduates of the National University of Singapore.

This video was taken from their March 2010 "GENUS 2010: Asian Folktales and Legends" concert which was part of the NUS Arts Festival.
Soi Saeng Daeng (Colourful Magic Chicken), Kahmane Lai Kwa-ai (The Cambodian Chasing the Buffalo), Chern Jao (God's Invitation) are 3 thai duets composed by Woratep Rattana-Umpawan. These 3 duets are performed by GENUS members Muhammad Daren Meisa and Loh Zixiang.
