Best. Educational. Video. I. Have. Ever. Seen. In. My. Life. I'm serious.

I have never watched an edcational video so entertaining, and yet so informative. I don't think a teacher could ever explain the First Law of Thermodynamics as well as this video has. Ever.

Thank you SO MUCH for uploading this!

Yes you can. Every object has potential energy. If you want to draw it you need another object with less potential energy and you will draw electricity out of any object. That is how electricity is created. One object on its own is an isolated system once you connect it to an object it can react with it will relies that energy. One bottle of 1bar pressure wont do any work. If you connect it with a hose to another bottle with 1 bar pressure still nothing. But what if one bottle has 2 bar?

So for the electricity all you really need is object of lower potential energy in it to draw electricity out of it. Like with a giant. He really has potential energy but it can be only release once you push him over the cliff of something similar. Pressured balloon has potential energy stored in a form of pressured but it can be only released if you pop balloon. In other word you need some "medium" that will help you release or transfer that energy. Hope this helps.

electricity is a different form of energy.
if the rock fell it would have the energy to kill you. the rock has the potential to fall. but if it just sits there is no energy.
