A review of a Dutch snuff, Molens brand Bon Bon. As a synopsis of what I describe in the video, this snuff was a recipe made for the lady snuffers long ago when snuff was considered the "in" thing to do. While it does strike me as a "feminine" scent, it is not overly perfumed, in fact it is not even floral, in my opinion. It has a slightly sweet vanilla taste, with amber and I can sense a sandalwood flavor as well. It reminds me of springtime and is really airy and light. It is not too finely ground at all and thus perfect for the beginner snuffer as it is easy to take. The "throat drip" is a pleasant one, and if you're snuffing all day (like I usually do), the flavor will stay with you for a good 10-30 minutes before needing another pinch.

Excuse my oopsie when I said the label was in German...D'oh! It is in DUTCH! Sorry about that! I had Germany on my mind because I ordered some German snuff today --- so as Freud would say, I slipped!

  • Cool to see you using a real dutch snuff. It's produced here in the Netherlands on original windmills by 'De Kralingse Snuif'. Their website is now in english too (snuifmolenswebshop.nl and snuifmolens.nl).

Probably you will like the 'Musino' and 'Matteijer' varieties too. And actually I have a container of Bon Bon over here too. It's really subtle indeed and that's probably why it's 'meant to be for ladies' but guys can use it too of course.

  • Thanks for the nice review there.

  • Very nice! Wish you had a french manicure! :) Thanks for the reviews. Where did you get that awesome snorter? Please try Fribourg & Treyers Seville snuff, my favorite so far, i would like you to make a review on it for me. Thank-you!
