Anyone know how to get that sound on the bass. I have a fender jazz bass and I'm trying to get that sound. It has to be a effect pedal under 200$ I'd appriciate it :)

Crate BX-50... $75.00 at a local pawn shop.

Zoom 506II bass effects pedal... 10 bucks.

$3.00 for the recording software that I loaded on to a computer I got off of someones curb on trash day.

Finding that awesome sweet spot with a fifty dollar microphone?... Priceless.

Wow. So much talent!! I really appreciate that there are people in this world that work so hard to do stuff like this. It's a shame I don't meet people like you everyday. To me, most people are lazy. By the way, I have been working on the bass part to this song for only a little while and it seems hard. Honestly, was it the hardest instrument on this song?

Thanks, man. Yeah, the bass part was kinda tricky. But Basspops really helped me out a lot. I probably would have scrapped the project if it wasn't for him.

But as far as difficulty... Geddy plays a mean bass. It takes a lot of work to learn his chops. But, as with most Rush songs, Alex is much more difficult to pull off. He puts so much soul into each note he plays. It's easier to hammer out 100 Geddy notes than it is to play one of Alex's.

I wasn't ready for you to be on top of the drum fill at 2:15. I was pleasantly surprised. I love how Neil & Geddy are in sync on most of the drum fills. Especially "Freewill." Oh, I just heard the sample from "Double Agent." "Bound up and wound up so tight." It kinda freaked me out. Great solo! Yeah! Rock it...Now all u need is for me to come over and play the drum part. I used to play along to this track years ago. I would run a cord from my jambox phones outlet to my synth amp.
