I'm amazed people don't know Australia gets tornados even western Australia gets them and we get fuck all storms

Tornadoes occur more frequently in Aus than most people think. The term "supercell" is a single storm that rotates like a big carousel. I wont go into a deep explanation, there's plenty of info out there if people want to educate themselves. Check out on youtube: Dunoon Oct 2007, Karratha Feb 2011, Moama Aug 2010, Penola July 2010, If you have the time, do an image search for Tornadoes in Aus, and you'll find excellent examples within our country. Bucca 1991 was an F4 (333–418km/h)

Looking at the damage caused, I'm guessing it's an EF2-EF3 Tornado

The path of the water spout wasn't reported correctly. It actually came in off the ocean towards Dress Circle Drv. then started heading along the white water of the waves right up to near the pub before it came onto land.
