Blaze Bayley with his band playing The Edge of Darkness (Iron Maiden) in Manifesto Bar (São Paulo/SP/Brazil), 01/11/2009. Recorded with a Sony DCR-SR40.
While I agree that Blaze was highly under rated, Iron Maiden sounds better with Bruce. Blaze has a good voice and has his branch of music that he sounds good in. It just so happen's that Maiden's style is better suited for Bruce. Iron Maiden has done great as long as their career has gone, with Blaze, Di'Anno, and Bruce. Don't discredit any of them, they all did great jobs.
You really need to put the crack-pipe down pal. Maiden has gone on to produce amazing albums and have enjoyed the greatest success - artistically and financially - of their prospective careers. How can you possibly refute that?? The reality (whether you wish to admit it or not) is that fat-arse here is relegated to playing bars is some back-water venue with some quasi-musicians and a sound system to match. Buddy can't even hit the notes for god-sakes - he's all over the place! Ridiculous.
@acrythane Eventhough your comment is one year old, i figured i should reply anyway:
That is the DUMBEST fucking thing i have ever heard. He even said in an interview from 2005 that X-factor is amongst his top5 Maiden albums. So stop pulling "facts" out of your arse mate.
Blaze's solo band kicks Maiden's recent releases ass! Even When Blaze does old Maiden songs with his new band , they kick the hell out of the original versions! X Factor and Virtual XI are masterpieces that are under appreciated

You guys must be on crack - the guy's a hack and couldn't hold Dickenson's water bottle.
That's why Steve Harris pretends that era of Maiden never existed!

I agree with rideon...Blaze is great! Great singer, supported by a good band, that gives their blood for the music!
Maybe you don't like it, but respect those who like.
Eu concordo com rideon...Blaze é foda! Grande vocalista, com uma boa banda, esforçada, e que dá o sangue pela música!
Você tem o direito de não gostar, mas respeite aqueles que curtem!
