Great video tony, it would be better if you talked about a bit more on matching the motor kv with ESC Amps and batteries mAh burst rates etc. thats what confuses people more
-
to add: General kv chart
Micro size: 4000 low 160000 high
1/18th: 3000 low 7800 high
1/10th: 2000 low 6000 high
1/8th: 1050 low 2000 high
1/5th: 700 low 900 high
low is best for crawling and high power situations
medium is best for off road racing
high is best for on road racing
Also, lower kv draw less amps, requiring a less amp esc and longer runtimes with less heat.

You spent the first third saying....nothing! And then started talking about Nitro motors.
Really bad - learn your stuff, and learn how to pass it on.
Sorry, but you take your risk of criticism when you air on Youtube.

Great info...

Crappiest explanation ever.

Wouldnt if you get a higher voltage battery for a lower kv it will become the same power as a higher kv and it won't be as hot?

REALLY WISH YOU COULD PUT SOME SIMPLE EXAMPLES UP FOR RC BUGGIES/TRUCKS/TRUGGIES FOR 1/10 & 1/8 SIZE MODELS, I KNOW MOST PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW WHATS BEST FOR THOSE SIZE CARS, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY WANT TO UPGRADE THEIR STANDARD CARS.
PLZ HELP US OUT WITH THAT, THANKS.
is 7200 kv high for a 1/16.

@skateboardtechdeck It depends on what your going to be using the RC for, with the 7200 it will be really fast.
